The following is a general outline of the MLM Consultant steps necessary in preparing your company for a successful MLM launch. The initial consultation will accomplish several important tasks leading up to your entry into the MLM business. The purpose of our detailed consultation is to prepare a "Road Map" for your pre-launch and actual launch, preparing your company for a successful MLM launch. If you pursue this to the next stage, we will provide you with a customized guide directed toward areas that must be addressed in the early stages of development. In addition, it will serve as a "Do It Yourself" set of instructions should you prefer to "go it alone". Upon completion of this important MLM Consultant document, Sheffield Resource Network will make itself available to help carry out the pre-launch and actual Grand Opening phases.

PRE-LAUNCH
One of the keys to the success of any MLM enterprise is the selection of the people responsible for implementation. The people must have a thorough business background in their specific area, such as marketing, operations, finance, etc., together with a thorough understanding of the business dynamics of Multi-Level Marketing.

Initially, the entrepreneur fills most of the functions using outside resources as a compliment during pre-entry and the start up phase. It is critical that the leadership position be filled by someone with significant business experience and preferably, corporate experience in MLM. Ideally, this person would have a real depth of experience regarding the needs and daily challenges of the MLM distributor. I think the appropriate word here is "empathy."

Early recognition of the importance of defining positions and the respective tasks will greatly contribute to the efficiency of the business. One of the first things you will need to do is retain a qualified MLM attorney. Many new companies attempt to cut corners here, but proper legal counsel from a competent MLM attorney can save many headaches and heartaches in the future. We recommend retaining a full service firm that can interact with you in all phases of your business when necessary. It is very important that your MLM attorney has an entrepreneurial spirit. He should also have a good relationship with the Attorneys General in the various states, and should be an experienced court room defender of his MLM clients when this has been necessary.

Also, fairly early in the process, you will need to select a computer company for compensation plan software. Upon your arrangement for our MLM consultant services, we will perform the following evaluations and recommend the necessary actions:

1. Evaluate the various products or services being proposed as to their viability of sales success in Multi-Level Marketing in the US, including procedures necessary for your eventual launch overseas. It is important to understand that to be a competitive business opportunity in the MLM industry, you must prepare for your eventual entry into the international arena. The potential export of your products and business opportunity needs consideration in the early stages of the launch phase. We will assist you in designing a business plan that approaches your marketing from a global perspective. We will evaluate your initial products to be introduced as to their flexibility in complying with each export country's standards. 2. Research and evaluate potential products and services as compatible extensions to the initial product concepts that could increase overall profitability.

3. Determine markup necessary on selected products for successful launch
into MLM.

4. Examine packaging requirements and alternatives.

5. Design a compensation plan concept that can be used to drive the sale of the products or services. (This would initially be a concept only, and not a detailed and final compensation plan.)

6. Identify various support companies that could be available to assist in the design and implementation of necessary functions such as: Computer programming, commissioning, MLM legal requirements, commercial art and design, packaging, printing, fax broadcasting, conference calling, pay card, smart card, etc.

7. Evaluate necessary staff requirements during initial entry and determine job definitions.

8. Estimate cost for start up of the MLM company based on minimum needs and recommended funding necessary during first year. Estimates will be a combination of the following areas;

b. Printing
c. Design of business manual
d. Design of product manual
e. Design of product brochures
f. Design of Corporate brochure
g. Design of Corporate image (logo, stationery, business cards etc.)

Based on our initial MLM consultant assessment of your proposed project during our first day of consultation, we will provide a general evaluation of the cost of starting your Multi-Level Marketing company. It should be understood that it is difficult to ascertain an accurate start up cost prior to the complete evaluation of your company assets such as office facilities, equipment, available time from present employees, etc., that can be directed toward this project.

The cost of starting an MLM company is variable, and the investment dollars available are never as important to the success of an MLM company as are the following things:

2. Proper computer software and hardware to manage your MLM company.

3. Lucrative compensation plan that is profitable for both the company and distributor.

4. Adequate sales aids to offer the new distributor the tools necessary too properly and professionally represent the company.

5. A marketing concept that sets the company apart from the competitors. This must be simple, duplicable, and exciting for the new distributor.

6. Product or service — With the right product you can overcome obstacles in other areas during the critical start up phase. If the customer wants the product badly enough to overlook some weaknesses in the above 5 areas, the chances of success are greatly enhanced. But, if the product is an average product or one that has a lot of competitors, chances of success are slim, no matter how much money the client is committed to spend.
